To Register for PLUS Professional Learning On-Demand:
Click the Title of the Professional Learning your wish to enroll (This is a unique link specific to that courses registration) and fill out the Registration Form.
Once the Registration Form is complete, you will see a Self-Enroll Link in the Submission Response before you close the Form with directions on how to enroll and begin.
You will only use this Self-Enroll Link ONCE. After you are enrolled you will always log in at: https://plus.instructure.com/.
New PLUS Participants: If you have never taken a PLUS Professional Learning On-Demand Opportunity before, enroll as a New User.

Students, Families, and Communities
In this Opportunity, Participants will explore The Family Engagement Framework and have a deeper understanding of Strategies and Resources available to support working with Students, Families, and their Communities. This Course is broken into modules that highlight the eight Elements to Effective Family Engagement. Participants are encouraged to focus on one or two Elements at a time to make sure their implementation is a success. The Course will remain available for Participants to access and dive deeper into additional Elements at any time. Each Element is worth 1 Clock Hour and can be claimed as a whole or after completing each Element. If you implement in your role, you can claim an additional 4 clock hours.

Social and Emotional Learning: Strategies to Impact Practice (SEL)
In this Opportunity, Participants will develop a deeper understanding of Social Emotional Learning (SEL). This course helps Participants broadly understand SEL as a process through which individuals build awareness and skills in managing emotions, setting goals, establishing relationships, and making responsible decisions that support success in school and in life. Participants will leave with strategies to implement SEL within their classrooms and their own lives.

Introduction to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
In this Opportunity, Participants will have an introduction to Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The purpose of this Course is to be a starting point in the Participant’s exploration of the proactive teaching approaches that will support all Students when implemented. UDL and MTSS are being introduced together because both frameworks are designed to support the learning needs of Students. Much of UDL applies to the MTSS interventions and strategies used across subject areas and tiers of support. Participants will leave with an understanding of their philosophies as well as tools, resources, and a start to implementation in their classroom.

Professional Growth: Planning for Your Future
In this Opportunity, Participants will be able to have exploration and open discussions on different pathways for their future in any Profession. This Opportunity has an educational lens where Participants can set Professional Growth Goals either alongside their TPEP Goals or apart from them.

Recruiting Educators (Recruiting Washington Teachers) Updating
In this Opportunity, Participants will explore a Program designed to support the growth of Educators within Washington. The overarching goal of the Recruiting Washington Teachers (RWT) program is to “grow our own” diverse group of future Teachers who more closely reflect the population of today’s children and youth. The program supports partnerships between high schools, Teacher preparation programs, institutions of higher education, parents/guardians, and community-based organizations to design and deliver innovative programs that support Students who are underrepresented in the teaching profession in exploring and preparing for careers as Educators. The Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB) commissioned a task force to revise and develop the model framework and curriculum for high school Careers in Education CIE/CTE courses to incorporate standards of cultural competence, new research on Educator preparation, and curriculum and activities from the RWT program. This work resulted in the RWT Teacher Academy Curriculum (Links to an external site.)

In this Opportunity, Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the general Employment process. Developed in conjunction with Human Resource Managers, this Course gives the knowledge they have to Employees at any level of the job cycle. This course begins by supporting the search for the right job/role, progresses through the first-year review, and the potential growth they are looking to achieve. This Course allows the Participant to view each module and instantly access their current employment learning needs. This course will give Participants the tools they need to be an empowered Employee.

In this Opportunity, Participants will learn the basics of Google Suite and assist them in understanding the features and abilities of its applications. Highly Effective Math Strategies: Supporting Learning Through Good Teaching – Delayed
In this Opportunity, Participants will have the choice on which Highly Effective Math Strategies for Learning they would like to explore and try in their classrooms. This Opportunity will continually be growing as more strategies are integrated into the course. The goal is to provide options to all Participants as some strategies will work with your classroom routines and others will not. Some strategies seen in this Opportunity are Gamification, Impactful Models, Questioning Routines, Number Talks, Co-Pilot, and 10/2 – 5/2 – 2/1.

Essential Learnings and Outcomes
In this Opportunity, Participants will have the time to understand what Essential Learning and Outcomes are and how they will best support their classroom by being able to prioritize what they teach to their Students. Essential Learning and Outcomes are selected by focusing on the Standards and Practice Standards in each grade band that will have the biggest impact on Students’ growth. This Course will be one that gives each Participant time to explore their Standards, Lesson Plan, and Develop their own Essential Learnings and Outcomes for credit.

In this Opportunity, Participants will become a Professional Learning US Intern, where we will support their Professional and Personal Growth through a carefully designed Internship Program. The Internship Program Covers the following topics:

- Content Development
- Human Resources
- Marketing & Social Media
- Future Growth (Professional & Personal)
Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of the Operations of a business which will assist them in having a more well-rounded and global approach around in any future positions or roles they may hold.

In this Opportunity, Participants will have the chance to join an Educational Network with the focus of improving the system. This Network is designed as a Participatory Community and open discussion forum. This is where Participants are able to have a place to engage, interact, and support each other through communication, inquiry requests, and sharing the most valuable tools, practices, activities, and resources.
Note: This is a Hybrid Opportunity – There will be places to communicate both Synchronously through the Educational Network Virtual Meetings and Asynchronously through Discussion Boards on our PLUS Canvas. A Schedule will be posted for the Meetings. You may join any dates you choose and attendance to all Synchronous meetings are not required.

Administrators Working with Paraeducators – Awaiting Approval – Registration Coming Soon
In this Opportunity, Participants will explore ways for Administrators and Paraeducators to work cohesively to support their Students. A majority of Paraeducators work directly with Students in their formative years, at all levels, from Early Learning to High School, and with Diverse Learners, such as Students with disabilities and English Learners. It is the certificated Teacher’s responsibility to guide and utilize Paraeducators for the maximum benefit of Students, and it is the Administrators’ responsibility to organize cohesion between all staff. This Course is designed to provide Administrators with strategies for collaborating with Paraeducators and for developing an effective working partnership for all Students and staff they support. This course is updated from the Washington State Moodle Course: Teachers Working with Paraeducators.

Supporting Students with Neurodiversity (Introduction) – Awaiting Approval – Registration Coming Soon
In this Opportunity, Participants will equip Educators and Paraeducators with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support students with neurodiversity in the classroom. Neurodiversity refers to the natural variation in human brains, including conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, and other neurodevelopmental differences. The course will delve into the characteristics, strengths, and challenges associated with neurodiversity, providing participants with a deeper understanding of these students’ unique learning styles and needs. Please note this is an introduction course and will focus on Identifying Student Needs, Creating Inclusive Classrooms and Classroom Supports, Effective Communication and Collaboration, and Addressing Challenges and Promoting Success. There will be multiple parts to this opportunity and this is just the beginning.
